Dear Colleagues,

SEETRO is a cooperation platform of the National Societies of Radiation Therapy Technicians from South–Eastern Europe.
The Third Regional Congress of SEETRO will be held from 22nd to 24th September 2017 at Tokuda Hospital – Acibadem City Clinic, Sofia. This year the host of the Congress shall be the Bulgarian Society of Radiation Therapy Technicians – BSRTT.
The initiative to create this Society raises as a result of the ESTRO and IAEA Program “The Best Practice in Radiation Oncology – Train the RTT Trainers“.
The countries from South–Eastern Europe participated in this program make a commitment to launch series of educational courses for radiation therapy technologists in their own countries. As a result of the collaboration between the representatives from the individual countries the idea to create the Society of the Radiation Therapy Technologists in South–Eastern Europe was born.
The First Regional Congress has taken place in 2013 in Belgrade and held by the Serbian Association of Radiation Therapy Technologists.
The Second Regional Congress has taken place in 2015 in Zagreb, Republic of Croatia and held by the Croatian Association of Radiation Therapy Technologists.
During these years the number of the participating countries has grown and at this moment they are thirteen.
The main objective of SEETRO is to improve the cooperation between colleagues from South–Eastern European countries, to assist for skills exchange and share their experience for applying the new methods in Radiation Therapy.
